I love this thing. You might think well “how often will I make hotdogs?”,,, but Although it is a hotdog steamer, you can steam corn on the cob in it, chinese dim sum dumplings and buns. Iam also going to try loading some whole eggs in there to see how well they cook compared to boiling . I wish it came with a mesh insert so you could reheat/resteam other things like a rice dish for example instead of having to do it on the stove with oil. So much healthier to steam. The bottom reservoir is deep enough that I made one pack of hotdogs and when they were done the reservoir was still pretty full with water. I would not have needed to add any water if I made 2 more packs. but it depends how long you keep them on *warm. Our bunch ate them as soon as they were done. The only thing I suggest is to add your buns last when the hotdogs are almost done, so the buns wont overheat. Heats up pretty quick. Great when my kids have their friends over and they can help themselves to some hotdogs. its very simple and straightforward to use. the aqua color goes with my beachy shabby chic kitchen. Was very easy to spray and rinse out the 2 top drawers and I poured out the water and wiped the reservoir out with paper towels.

The only thing disappointing in this order was that they sent me the wrong color, they told me that they would make it right and send me the correct color once it is in stock but I have not heard anything more yet. They told me that I can keep the one I got I needed it for my daughters birthday party and got this the day before so I had no time to make changes so we used it, it is alright the buns get kinda soggy and the dogs will explode if you do not keep an eye on them lol. also when your putting it the water at the bottom (it did not come with directions for me) it does not tell you exactly how much to put in there it has a fill line but its hard to see and if you do not put in enough water it will burn to heating plate but it is easy to clean.

Great device! Only bad aspect is that the buns get soggy in the warming device after a while. Otherwise it works great for a large number of people when entertaining.

Ok, let’s be real, it’s cheap does exactly what it is suppose to. Is it on the cheaply plastic side-yup!… as for the buns and everyone’s complaint about them being soggy-there is a bit of common sense involved here. Steam is water, bread absorbs water so yes if you just put them in the top they are going to get soggy however, take the buns wrap them in aluminum foil then put them in the bun warmer-flawless.

Firstly, this thing was too adorable & decent priced to pass up considering my kids are in a serious hot dog stage. It works well, there’s just 2 things that drive me crazy & they are equally annoying.1. The nasty smell of “hot dog water” that fills my home when I use it.2. Probably the most annoying, obnoxious & totally avoidable design flaw… the water goes on the bottom area, hotdogs go above the water in the slide out tray… so when you open the tray to get a hot dog, greasy hot dog water goes everywhere.
