So I have had the Nutribullet Lean for a few years – it is pretty much the same blender as the Pro Plus. It had an issue of not staying on unless you held it down the whole time, so I bought both the Ninja SS101 Foodi and the Nutribullet Pro Plus. Comparing these two, I found the Nutribullet seems more substantial, while the Ninja feels cheaper. Blending test included frozen fruit – banana, strawberries and mixed berries – with milk covering all the fruit. Really liked the way the Ninja ran – it seems more sophisticated and does more things than the Nutribullet, however, all I am concerned about is smoothies. Nutribullet does just one thing – you engage the motor, it blends for a while and it stops. Both units seemed to make nice smoothies, but both had a shortcoming. The Ninja does not eradicate the seeds as effectively as the Nutribullet (which is more effective, but not as effective as an expensive serious blender like the Vitamix). The Nutribullet “seems” to do a better job at making the smoothies except in each of the few times I have used it – it leaves one frozen strawberry unblended. I did not have this problem with the Nutribullet Lean and there was one difference – with the Nutribullet Lean, I was using the same blade as lower Nutribullet models (the gray one). When I replaced the blade that came with the Pro Plus with the blade made for the lower level models, everything blended perfectly and Nutribullet was the clear winner over the Ninja. Not sure why they are using what seems to be an inferior blade (it does look a lot cooler), but for my purposes, the other blade is clearly superior.

UPDATE…. After another phone call about the issue and poor replacement… they did send proper replacement parts and product is working as advertised..The second time it was used it exploded all over the kitchen…could not get it work again… called and told nutribullet what happened and they begrudgingly sent a full replacement.. however LOOK at the attached photos!,! The blades do NOT fit into the blender base!! It sits on TOP of it…. The base the cup is supposed to screw INTO has the threads on the inside!! There is nothing about this replacement unit that is designed to work together!! The replacement showed up after the 30 day return window…. This is a total disgrace and I will never purchase another product from nutribullet.. and it’s hard to recommend a product that exploded and then the company sends a hodge lodge of parts that do NOT go together…. Buyer beware

Had to replace a 2 year old Nutribullet 900, as it started smoking when some internal parts wore out. This higher wattage version is far superior, it gradually ramps up to full speed, is quieter, very powerful. The metal blades look sharper and more powerful. The automatic stop feature has yet to engage, so I don’t understand how it works. The pulse feature works. The rubber suction feet are great, the blender won’t slide off the counter, which is good to know because this thing has rocket power.

It’s VERY powerful. The auto-off function is convenient. Clean-up is a breeze. It’s loud as all get out, but that’s 100% to be expected. It pulverizes chunks of apple, pineapple, frozen fruits, —- no chunks, no problem. It shreds leafy greens into a purée. It puts the “smooth” in smoothies. Bottom of machine has suction cups to prevent sliding, which is nice. I love this blender.

Fill to line full of your favorite ingredients, add liquid, start blender. After 1 minute, it automatically shuts off. The result surpassed my expectations and FAR exceeded the results of my previous blenders (original Nutribullet and a Ninja blender).PROS: Perfect size for 1 person. Quick, efficient, and automatically ends. Some components are dishwashable. You can pulse if needed. A HUGE improvement over the original Nutribullet (I never had a pro model, just basic).CONS: LOUD, and that’s an understatement (I have to put in ear plugs). Also, the blade component cannot be washed in the dishwasher.I’d rate this realistically 4.5 stars if you are looking for a blender for a single person that is quick and efficient. If they’d find a way to lower the noise and make all parts machine washable (except the plug in base part, obviously), this thing would be perfect.

I just got my NutriBullet with two extra cups. I’ve only made a smoothie so far, but I love the speed and cleanup waaaay more than a traditional blender. This will especially be helpful with mixing together smaller/single servings of pudding and mousses. I also like that the cups can go through the dishwasher instead of having to clean by hand with my blender.

So far so good, the Nutribullet does everything it says. I’ve only made about a dozen smoothies with the Nutribullet so far which isn’t very much, but the 1200 watt motor blends fantastic, with this power you could probably trim your hedges with it! My normal recipe is frozen fruit, banana, spinach, yogurt and orange juice. It’s taste just as good as some of the very expensive smoothies from your typical retail outlet, but at a fraction of the price. The powerful motor blends everything in less than a minute. Clean up is quick and easy. Just disappointed that I didn’t purchase it sooner, worth every penny!
