My machine broke in less than 2 months of use and ownership. I have followed the directions of this machine to the tee and have pampered it as it quickly became a favorite kitchen appliance. When the machine worked, it did a pretty good job of extracting juice out of nearly anything. Realistically, a lot of fruits / vegetables may require making mixed juice drinks since some produce (i.e. apples, tomatoes) are too soft and will require adding something else (i.e. carrots) to push the produce through to the auger when you accumulate a sauce of sorts near the base of the auger. The machine is a breeze to assemble / disassemble and very easy to clean.A favorite treat of mine has been making “sorbet” out of frozen fruits with this machine… until today. I was making avocado sorbet with store bought frozen avocados. I waited at least 7 minutes for it to thaw out before attempting to make the sorbet. Everything was going well at first. I dropped in small chunks of avocado and let gravity feed the avocado into the auger. I did not need to push anything through. Then at some point, the machine made two clicking sounds and the next thing I knew the blank end cap flew out with a shard of one of the retaining “teeth”.The biggest shortcoming of this machine is the use of plastic parts instead of metal parts. It’s merely a cost-cutting approach to making the product as cheap as possible while maximizing the profit. Oh, it’s also made in China. The issue I have here is, there is a consumer base which values and are willing to pay for all-metal parts. They should consider that for consumers willing to pay the premium. My experience today only reinforces my preference for metal parts.Just moments ago, I sent an e-mail to Omega Customer Support (the product has a 15-year parts and performance warranty according to the product description on this page). I explained what happened and got an auto response back confirming they received my e-mail and will eventually get around to actually responding but that it may take longer due to COVID-19 and them having a skeleton crew for customer support. Keep in mind Omega Juicers states on their website that you are on the hook for paying shipping and handling on any warranty coverage.Time will tell if Omega takes care of me or gives me trouble. If someone were to ask me if I would recommend this product, I would say I’m conflicted. When I purchased this machine, I had reservations about it due to the plastic parts. When it was working, I was loving it. It did great at making juices, sorbet, almond milk, and excels at mincing garlic cloves (in big batches that you would keep in the refrigerator). When it broke, my fears and reservations in that instant were confirmed.Last thought, don’t make avocado sorbet. I tasted what little I got before my machine broke and it was pretty disgusting. I don’t know what I was thinking. I highly recommend making sorbet out of frozen cherries or pineapple.

DO NOT BUY!!!! Purchased in December 2020, used about 10 times. Made great juice until the plastic parts started shooting out of the machine. Carrots and ginger were in the juicer at the time. I submitted an on-line warranty claim on March 13, 2021, per the manufacturer instructions. After a full month without any response, neither email or phone, I called the customer service number on 4/13/21 during their advertised ‘business hours’, but received a voice message saying to call back during their ‘business hours’. Left detailed message that I had submitted warranty claim electronically and attempted to call with no success. Today is five weeks and still no response.Jan 15, 2022 Update (a year later): The Legacy Companies, who own Omega Juicers, had not replied to my warranty claim noted above so I contacted Amazon to complain in early 2021. Amazon did arrange for a new Omega Juicer to be sent to me at no charge. I received it in April 2021. Then, in August 2021, I received the first reply from the Legacy Companies regarding the warranty claim I filed the previous March. Apparently they were not aware that Amazon had sent me a new juicer. I informed them of this and expressed my concern that the plastic parts would break again.Sure enough, by late August 2021, four months later, the same plastic parts were broken on the new juicer. I began contacting The Legacy Companies again. In September, an email from them offered to send me parts, which would have required unassuming the juicer body to repair the main cog assembly. I responded to explain this. I never received any parts and from September to December 2021, I received 15 automated emails from the Legacy companies saying that my issue has been resolved and they would close my ticket if I did not reply. I replied to every one of those emails and on December 28, 2021 I received an email from a real person, Gina, a customer service rep. Gina arranged for a new juicer to be sent.I received my new, and third, Omega N/C Juicer on January 6, 2022. Today is January 15, 2022; a plastic piece of the main cog assembly broke today, the second time I used the juicer. I had allowed my veges to come to room temperature before using and cut the pieces smaller than recommended in an attempt to avoid breakage. It’s absolutely no use.Until parts are made of durable material, this model juicer will be useless. The last picture in my review was taken today of the piece that broke after two uses.I hope this review saves someone else from throwing away their hard earned money with no way to get it refunded; the product is a piece of trash.

I’m happy with this juicer. Bought it replace an Acme 6000 which was loud and more cumbersome to clean pulp from. However the drum unit cracked early on and to replace it costs about $75. Not happy about that.

This works pretty great for the price point and not having to hand wash the parts when I’m done is a major selling point for me.

Excellent juicer. Used mainly for celery, but it works quickly and efficiently. Simple operation, easy to use.

I bought the NC1000HDS model – one of the most expensive. The plastic drum assembly broke in 3 places within 2 months of purchase. I contacted customer service via email and they were very responsive, however it’s been more than 2 months and I haven’t received my replacement drum assembly and haven’t been able to use the juicer. Very disappointing! I’ve contacted them two additional times and no response. Just bought a Kuving juicer and am hoping for a better user experience. Will hold on to the Omega in the hopes that someday customer service comes through and actually ships a replacement part.
