I download a Japanese instruction online, and translate them by using google, then I download an instruction of SD-BMP 1000 in Chinese(you can also find it in English online),they are similar. Now I think I can master it.I made very soft bread, jam, and other kind of bread,my husband and son love these delicious food. The seller Premium-Japan delivered quickly,3 days. Now the price is crazy, too expensive.

As a home baker, I can easily classify myself as a failure. I’ve tried nearly every bread making technique I can easily recreate in my home out there from cast iron bread (flat/hard), roux techniques (muffin-like from the wrong flour), free-form vs loaf pan, etc. I am simply not good at it and when I have had stellar results, I can never duplicate them. When a friend informed me that he had a “magical box” that produced perfect, fluffy Japanese-style bread every single time he used it, I knew I had found my answer and bought my own. Several loaves in, I can definitely say it is one of the greatest purchases I have ever made. I love it so much that I named mine Pan-chan. Pan-chan twirls and clicks to itself while I work, resulting in airy, soft bread five hours later. I know it’s pricey, but I see it as an investment that avoids wasted flour, frustration, and a mountain of dishes to wash. The downside is that everything (instructions, starter recipe, buttons) is in Japanese so I had to get really good at reading Japanese very quickly. You should also buy a Japan to US power converter to maintain the longevity of your breadmaker. There’s a whole recipe book that’s included that will probably test my new-found translation skills, but I’m very excited to try. I also haven’t figured out the timer yet, so I didn’t rate it. Anyway, this whole situation has been great. Thanks for everything Panasonic!

It makes a fluffy amazingly delicious bread. But if you live in the US, you cannot expect the same quality unless you do something. The major difference between Japan and the US are they use 100V, soft water and high protein flour while we use 120V, hard water and less protein flour. If you cannot make good bread, you should try these.1. Get a converter for 1000W. You need 1.5 W more capacity to use a converter.2. Try bottled water.3. Adjust yeast amount.4. Get high protein bread flour. If your wing stucks at bottom, you can use a little bit of butter inside the wing hole before using the machine. That’s what people do in the loaf pan when they bake bread. The reason why there is no English manual is the manufacturer didn’t make this product to sell it in the US. They understand the voltage and water difference, so they cannot take the responsibility of whatever happens to us. Unfortunately, this is at our own risk, but Japanese genuine products have very high quality control. If it’s not working right, the chance is you did something not right.

The new machine does not make the same crispy bread I do with my old panasonic one. The new function buttons do not help at all
