   I don’t write detailed reviews very often, but this product definitely merits a commendation! I’ve had this less than a week and I’ve used it at least 3 to 4 times everyday since it arrived! I absolutely LOVE this sandwich maker! Grilled cheese and ham or grilled cheese and beef sandwiches turn out evenly browned on both sides within about 2.5 minutes. BUT, so far I have ALSO cooked/grilled sausage links, sausage patties, bacon, scones, english muffins, french toast, pizza slices, sliced veggies, sauteed slivered onions, fried eggs (it makes PERFECT “over easy” fried eggs in about 3 minutes), hot dogs, bratwurst links, and pork chops, and I plan on grilling steak and chicken breast fillets on it too. I’ve just started experimenting, and I’m still discovering more uses for it – including baking refrigerated cookies and “pan frying” Chinese dumplings both of which I just tried this evening.The features about this griddle that I especially love are it’s fast heating time, the fact that I can cook any item without having to deal with spitting grease, the fact that raising the lid to check the doneness doesn’t result in a lot of heat loss, and the fact that it is so easy to clean. I also love that I need to use little or no oils or butter to cook things well. The thick sliced smoked bacon I cooked did generate a lot of bacon grease, but halfway through cooking, I simply set a paper plate under the front left corner of the griddle and tipped the front left corner of the griddle while holding both halves open by their handles. The excess grease poured out onto the paper plate just fine. I wiped the griddle corner with a sponge to catch any dripping residue, then closed the lid and resumed cooking. After cooking, I unplug the unit and just wipe out any remaining grease with a SOFT paper napkin and then I swipe the cooking plates with a clean damp sponge and let the unit finish air drying as the griddle cools off before storing it. It also stores conveniently, by standing it upright with the hinged end as the base.Besides it’s versatility, the unit is compact enough that it can easily be taken anywhere – work, dorm, RV, etc. As long as you have electricity you’re good to go. I can’t speak to its longevity as I haven’t had it long enough, but even if it only lasts a year, it will more than pay for itself, because I’m not using all the extra electricity required to pre-heat 6+ cubic feet of oven space in order to cook a small batch of something in my oven.    I hesitated to buy this sandwich maker, TBH. We’ve had others in the past and never used them. Those were the ones that made triangular sandwiches though, and they didn’t hold enough filling. I also hesitated because we have a very small camper. Multiple purpose items get priority. But we decided a sandwich maker that made a full sandwich instead of triangles with plenty of room for filling ingredients might just get used more than past makers did. We eat lotts of sandwiches at camp because of convenience, fast prep, and easy cleanup, so it seemed logical. It arrived, and the experimenting began. We loved it! It’s proven to be a useful addition to our camper kitchen, well worth the space it takes up. It heats quickly. It has space for 2 sandwiches at a time, so no one has to wait. It can also make quesadillas or even tiny pizzas. Cleanup is a breeze, just wipe it out with a damp cloth. We ended up liking this so much, it will be living in the house in winter so we can get even more use out of it. Very happy we took a chance on trying a different sandwich maker!

   I love quesadillas and sandwiches, also because they are a fast meal especially if you wait till you are on the verge of being hangry. Depending on the sandwich or quesadilla I would normally use the stovetop, toaster oven or my most used appliance the Planet Pizza cooker which is perfect for quesadillas and grilled cheese sandwiches….which is now giving me the side eye because I no longer need it or any of those other appliances because this sandwich maker cooks my egg, breakfast meats, toast my bread and melts the cheese all in one perfectly size appliance. I like that it doesn’t take up any room in my cabinet, it’s super easy to clean, I don’t to have grease it or even flip the food. Being a widow I have no need for the larger cooking items, so this is perfect for me. The past year I stopped buying sandwich bread and started using Naan rounds and 8 Inch tortillas which helped me become a little more created with my sandwich/quesadilla fillings. The game changer is how this sandwich maker has toasted and melted cheese so much better than a toaster oven could and without the mess. I’m extremely happy with my purchase.

   It’s hard to decide with all the choices out there & reviews are helpful so here’s mine…This is a cool little sandwich press. It’s small enough to easily store away yet it’s big enough to make 2 sandwiches at a time, it takes a few minutes to warm up so i use that time to make my sandwich & by that time it’s ready… it’s quick to toast so don’t leave it too long before checking unless you like it crispy, i do so for me it’s great ?I’ve yet to burn anything but it’s early days lol… we’ve been using it every day as it’s a game changer!I’ll keep you posted if anything changes.

   I don’t use butter on the outside, but nice looking browning. Can’t stuff it too much but I fit ham, tomato, and cheese. Keep it centered, then close carefully. It snaps shut, Sammich is nice and toasty in about two minutes.

   Second brand I purchased.Sent first back, it was DANGEROUS ( different brand ) ! Poor electrical wiring… BEWAREThis appears better.
