Despite what to me was a low price along with a reputable brand name of Proctor Silex, I almost did not order the electric skillet. My reason for considering it was due to my stove short-circuiting, leaving me with a convection oven, and a microwave oven, and no experience boiling pasta in the latter. After being successful in my first attempt I then considered my other problems, namely, sauteeing chicken thighs for my chicken salad for sandwiches, sauteeing mushrooms which I do a lot, and browning ground beef for casseroles. I decided the reviews were positive enough that I went ahead and ordered it. It was delivered as promised on Sunday and I wasted no time putting it together with my Phillips screwdriver. Once the handle was in place I read over how to set it up and operate it, then went to work with the chicken thighs. As I have trouble standing for long periods, I found it a pleasant difference to actually sit down on my kitchen chair while tending to the thighs as they simmered in the skillet. I then did up the mushrooms and found it so easy to do. The skillet is nonstick and therefore a breeze to clean up afterwards and is surprisingly light and easy to move. I am definitely pleased with it to the extent I may not worry over the stove but be content with my other two ovens and this amazing electric skillet.

I needed something short term while my kitchen was being redone and I had no appliances. I didn’t want to invest a lot of money so I bought this one. It works great! I’ll be using this after my kitchen is done. It heats up very fast and is easy to clean. It took me a while to figure out the temperature that I needed to use but then it was all good.

The pan works fine but I must caution prospective buyer of two things. The power cord is short which in my case is not a problem but certainly limits where you can place the pan.The other thing is the finish. I am very careful not to use utensils that scratch the finish. Yet after about two months of fairly frequent usage, three or four times/week, I have developed scratches on the top area where the pan’s cover rubs against the finish. Based on this I have to conclude this pan is not going to be useful in another year or so.

I purchased this skillet to help with the rising temperatures in the kitchen. As summer rolls around, anytime I can keep from using the stove top and heating the kitchen, and I very happy. This skillets works wonders for meals for the 2 of us. I can cook a complete breakfast in it. Great for ground turkey for tacos. So many uses, I have just started using it just about every day. Highly recommend it.

Just what I was looking for. Clear lid that allows you to see inside. Heat distribution is even all around the skillet. Non-stick surface makes easy cleanup. Temperature dial allows control of the heat. This is a great product that I highly recommend.

This is not rectangular it is just a basic square electric skillet. I don’t what led me to believe this was going to be larger, maybe just the price but once I received and took out of the package I was sad.
