I spent a lot of time comparing toasters, and not only on Amazon.All of them in this lower price range had their share of negative reviews, so at some point you have to take a leap.I’m not going to claim that this one works to perfection, but it is perfectly adequate in function and has features that none of my previous toasters had: cancel button, lifting handle, crumb drawer, bagel setting, etc.I chose this one primarily because of the controls being on the front in our setup – next to the stove and against the wall.It’s simple and looks great.I hope someone is still making one like this the next time we need a new toaster.

After reading the bad reviews, I was reluctant to purchase this toaster. however I decided to take a chance and purchase one. I only had it a week so far and it was used at least once a day with no problems. It is a good quality item. Everything works as stated and is a good value for the price. The shipping was quick less than 3 days. i would buy one again if needed.

The first toaster I ordered was very inconsistent on how dark the bread was and unevenly toasted. A piece of thin bread got stuck in the toaster. I decided to exchange for another toaster because the reviews were so good. The second toaster works just fine.

Like the size of the toaster and the position of controls (on the side). Doesn’t take up valuable counter space in a small kitchen. Easy to clean using the pull-out tray on the bottom. Bagels toast evenly and well.

So far, during its first week of use, this toaster has lived up to expectations. I appreciate that the controls are on the side. It is a good idea to cycle it 8 – 10 times (preferably outdoors) to get past the initial off-gassing phase. If this toaster proves to be reliable in the long term I would upgrade this rating to five stars.

It fits bagels wonderfully! I buy the bagels from the bakery in Costco. I love that it has a bagel button too so it’s easy to get the right heat. It also makes good toast, I usually keep it between 2-3 to get a golden brown toast color. Very quick toasting time too, it generally takes 1 minute or less depending on the setting.
