This is a great breadmaker. If you are in the US, you will need a transformer/converter to run it in the US with standard 115-120 volts AC power. This is designed to run on 100v power. Converters are available on Amazon. VCT VC-500J. 500 Watt is sufficient. Even though the plug is similar to US plugs, do not plug it in to US power. Another issue is that all documentation and button labels are in Japanese. There are apps such as Translate Box or Google Lens that will allow you to take photos and translate Japanese text. I have been using the included recipes, and also recipes downloaded from the web with excellent results. The included recipes are based mostly on gram weights, so a scale is helpful. We are at a higher altitude so I add a little more liquid and a little less yeast. Look up “Cinnamon Raisin Bread II” online. Works great in this machine (set to largest loaf, on sweet bread cycle number 5). Very tasty!

It’s light, has a small footprint, and very easy to use. You can make 3 different sizes, and select the crust color—light, medium, or dark. It makes mochi rice cakes very easily with rice, not rice flour. The bread comes out perfectly!!!! All you have to do is put the ingredients in the bread pan in order listed select the size , select the crust color and press the start button and let it go! And in 4 1/2 hours or so it’s done and you have a perfect loaf of bread! And your whole kitchen smells so good!! It comes with so many different recipes. I am very happy with this purchase!!!

It would be so nice if they have an English manual so that my English speaking friends can enjoy this bread maker as well. Otherwise this is the best gift I’ve ever bought for myself!! There is no problem using this bread maker in PA without a transformer.

This is the first bread maker I’ve ever owned, and I’ve made four loafs of bread in the past two weeks. It is a very reliable machine if you use the correct recipe. So far I’ve tried recipes written in English with the cups / tbsp measurements – whole wheat bread, rye bread, sour cream bread. They’ve all been successful for me. For loaf size, just choose 1, 1.5 or 2 (Japanese metrics) which are approximations for 1 lb, 1.5lb and 2lb.The seller offers great customer service and responded to my messages almost right away. I hope the seller can offer more options of Japanese bread makers on Amazon.
