I found that the one liter bottle that came with the unit will not hold it’s “fizz” threw an 8 hour day due to multiple openings. I think two smaller bottles will work out better.____UPDATESmaller bottles work great.I am not a fan of the smooth caps. When wet, they are hard to get a grip on to open or close tightly. Please add some kind of gnarling or rubber to the caps for better grip.

We recently started using the SodaStream Fizzi Sparkling Water Maker, which we really like. It came with a 1-L bottle, but we wanted ½-liter bottles for our personal use. I ordered a set of these bottles with white caps and a set with black caps (to help tell whose is whose). These bottles work great with the water maker. The lids have airtight seals. The bottles are PET plastic; they are “safe” and 100% recyclable. I found it interesting that these bottles have an expiration date. I read on their website this is “since the bottle has to withstand recurring pressure from carbonation, it cannot be used forever.” The only downside is I feel they are a little overpriced. Would recommend.

I really like these smaller sized bottles, but they leak when I use them in my SodaStream Source (water spews out the top). I have larger sized bottles that came with my unit and they do not leak. Other than that they are a good buy.

I had 1L bottle from initial package, but it was too much to me alone. This 500ml bottle is just fit for 1 time drinking. There were several scratches on the bottle, but they were not seemed to be serious;.

I really like the bottle, the only down side is that it’s not dishwasher safe. The bottle opening changed its shape

I have the old SodaStream Genesis. The original bottles were cylinders. These bottles have curved sides. Therefore, the “fill line” is below the CO2 injection nozzle.Since I’m not mixing syrup directly in these bottles, I fill about 1cm past the fill line. That is just enough to cover the tip of the CO2 injector. I have to use gentle taps of the CO2, however, to prevent the water from sloshing up into the machine.Basically: fill with water about 1cm over the fill line. Use quick, gentle taps to carbonate. You’ll need more taps, but it will still carbonate properly. Once you’ve gotten your three loud buzzes, wait about two minutes before disconnecting the bottle. It will sometimes depressurize quite loudly and spray a tiny bit of fine mist. Don’t expect to be able to mix syrup directly in the bottle.PS: the instructions are in Hebrew, but the expiration date on the bottle is regular old numbers and perfectly readable.

I love these little bottles for their size. It’s nice to be able to fizz a smaller amount in case you can’t finish the larger bottle before it goes flat.
