I really do like my soda stream but if you are looking for a syrupy soda flavor you will have to add sugary syrups to it. The basic taste is more like a seltzer/mineral water drink. I add the squirt water flavors and those work well. I have also added Torani root beer flavor syrup but a larger bottle costs well over $10 & takes @ 1/3cup to get a watered down root beer flavor. The CO2 containers are costly (Walmart sells singles for over $30 ea.) or soda stream does a trade back at return 2 get 2 for @ $15 but you have to have 2 bottles to start off with. If you donโt use the soda stream a lot or donโt use a lot of the CO2 then one canister could last longer than the @ 60L. If you are looking for something to save money on soda drinks then this really isnโt what I would consider feasible for that. If you are looking for a quick seltzer/mineral water or a carbonated drink you can flavor to your liking then I would say this is it.With all that said, it is easy to work but the instructions really lack details & only have pictures showing placing the bottle in the system then 3 pushes gives you a small amount of bubbles & 5 pushes gives you a larger amount of bubbles. It does not say how long to hold the pump button or how soon to remove the bottle after carbonation to avoid possibly bubbling over & spilling out. This leads to some trial & error on the users part to make it all work the way you want it to & avoid messes.Ultimately, I do really like the product for what it offers; however, I would like to see the price point on the refills & flavors be a bit lower for more options in drink making.

The price dropped one day later. Item cannot be returned. Instructions were only detailed enough to install the canister. The rep at sodastream was very helpful in how to fizz. The Co2 can that was in the bundle did not last a month, however, the replacement I purchased at Kohl’s over two months ago is being used as expected or about a liter a day and I am now happy and would recommend, BUT you need to know proper fizzing.

We paid $70 for this little bundle, Sodastream, bottle, carbon and bottle of Flavoring.I set it up in seconds! This one is manual, not electric, so I could put it wherever I wanted, rather than near a power supply. I personally fill my bottle just over the line marked with cold filtered water. I make sure to push all the way down. I donโt hold it down, once I reach the bottom I release and wait for the hiss sound to stop. I do this 3-5 times depending on my mood. I then pour the water into a glass and put the rest in the refrigerator. It is extremely bubbly! As someone who doesnโt usually drink carbonated drinks it makes me burp if I have a big glass. The flavor that came with it us very pleasant. I also enjoy it as is, or with a slice of lemon or lime. I have not had any spilling/spraying out as others have mentioned, but it is extremely bubbly contrary to what some have said. For me this is perfect! Hassle free sparkling water whenever I want it!

Bought this as a gift for my husband and he loved it!! The only issue, and I am warning you all, if youโre buying this as a gift, maybe have Amazon put it in a gift bag, or send it to someone elseโs house! Iโm regretting not sending it to my moms to keep until my husbands birthday because when they delivered the box I assumed it would be in an Amazon prime boxโฆ. Nope it said sodastream all over the box and ruined the surprise for my husband because he always get home before me and gets the mail and packages outside ??โโ๏ธ? but it was definitely still worth the purchase! He really loves it!

Well made unit, easy to load and operate. Call it a Newbie Learning Curve, but i went through dozens of liters of water and CO2 before i got any acceptable level of carbonation. I feel like i wasted a half canister of gas the first week. At around $30 ($15 with exchange) per CO2 bottle, it may get expensive just to drink carbonated water. The jury is out on whether this whole Sodastream thing is worth the expense. The Fizzy flavor bottle that came with the kit (zombie berry) is gross. Even a few drops tastes like a harsh chemical. Fortunately, i had a bottle of raspberry syrup to flavor the water.Sodastream needs to make a half-liter bottle that fits the machine. You can’t make seltzer unless you use the liter bottle, filled. If you don’t drink it all then, it goes flat, and you’ve wasted CO2.

The wife LOVESSSS this thing. She hates water but add carbonation and a lil flavor and she’s in. Pretty basic and a manual set up and for the price but it gets 5 stars from me specially since I scored points for it since it was a gift. ?

This is a great product! I found myself in the unfortunate position of having to give up coffee and sugary carbonated drinks as well(sigh), but Iโve found solace in fizzy water and the wide variety of sugarless offerings for Soda Stream! Did I mention I can now break the habit of single-use plastic bottles too? Well, I did!I like how I can keep myself hydrated and feeling full! The CO2 canisters are a little pricy, but worth the investment. With a little local research I managed to find 2 local stores that carry full canisters! Bring in your empties and for a reduced price you can leave with a full canister(s).Soda Stream is a great product and Amazon carries everything you need to keep you bubbly!

Easy to assemble and use. Like that it saves on plastic waste.
