I don’t write many reviews unless I really find something wrong with an item I feel others should be aware of, or I want others to know how great an item is for the money. This deep fryer is so easy to clean. I love that you can drain and filter the oil into a storage container after each use. You can either leave the storage container in the deep fryer and carefully store the whole unit together, or you can take the oil storage container out and store it standing upright. I’ve tried both ways and I prefer to store the unit together. Just my preference. There is no extra cost for filters with this unit which is a plus. The lid is completely submersible in water and able to be washed in the dishwasher. The oil pan is also able to be washed in the dishwasher as well. The heating element can be gently wiped off to remove any residue. One issue I see is that there isn’t a very secure hook to hang the fry basket from. I believe that is just because of the nature of how the fryer is made to be taken apart to be cleaned. Just make sure that the basket is secure before you take off the lid. I also hold the basket with my left hand (I’m right handed) while I take off the lid. I don’t want to get splashed with hot oil if the basket falls back in.Overall, this is a 5 star fryer. I love being able to have clean oil and a clean fryer every time. The pictures show a fryer that has been used over a dozen times. It still looks like new. You won’t be disappointed.

I just decided to buy a second of these so I can run two batches of fried foods at a time. Also, so I can use one only for french fries and extend oil life and taste of the fries. Ive had the first one for 7 years. This fryer is amazing. It gets up to 375+ (I have verified with an instant read thermometer) and maintains oil temperature pretty well. Obviously, the more you put in it, the lower temperature will drop (as would be the case with any fryer). It is also extremely easy to clean. All parts are dishwasher safe except for the fryer element, but that is super easy to clean. Finally, the best part is the automatic oil filtration. This filters oil into an oil box. This makes it super easy to re-use oil over and over and not have to strain it or filter it yourself.Obviously, since I bought a second, I highly recommend this to anyone!

I had previously ordered a fryer that was really flimsy. I returned it. I searched through the countless fryers and reviews. It seemed that 1700 watts was probably a maximum for me .This one was represented as being effective. I do like its heating and recovery speed. It is a bit shallow. More capacity would have been appreciated. The cord is very short. I found a place in my kitchen with an outlet directly behind the fryer, so I can use it. It is very easy to clean. It does do a good job of filtering the oil I like that you can put most parts in the dishwasher and avoid buildup. Do not put the electrical components in water. I first filled the fryer with water and filtered it to see how that worked and avoid having a problem with oil all over. i had not incident, but I’m glad that I took that step. I am very careful about storing the oil. I put the fryer in the cupboard then slide the oil in its spot and then move the lever to fry position. I remove the oil container before I take the fryer out to use it, then replace it on the counter. Happy frying!

This fryer works well for me. I was concerned about some of the reviews talking about the filtering and oil reservoir leaking. I’ve had minimal problems with that, it does come completely apart for cleaning and if you’re not careful when transferring oil from the storage reservoir into the tank for frying the two halves can separate and cause a mess. Being aware and careful it’s not a problem. The filtering is great at being able to store and reuse the oil.The heating of the unit is quicker than I expected and it holds temperature and recovers pretty well. I’ve noticed when I first heat it up that I have to stir the oil below the heating elements because it’s usually about 20°F cooler than the oil above it. Once stirred, the heater kicks on again and the oil is uniformly heated. The highest I’ve been able to get the oil is about 370°F which works for my needs and it is good at holding that temperature.Cleanup couldn’t be easier assuming you’re aware of the potential for the storage unit to come apart. Except for the heating elements, all of the parts that come in contact with the oil and food can be washed in the dishwasher and come out sparkling clean. The capacity isn’t huge because of how the heating elements are positioned and the basket, which you have to use or else food would fall below the heating elements and be lost. Batch cooking works pretty well because of the quick recovery of temperature but if you’re cooking for a crowd, there may not be enough capacity.

I realize that fried food probably isn’t the best thing for you, but with prices on chicken wings at restaurants costing more per wing than ever before and air fried just doesn’t cut it in taste, chicken wings at home is a weekly thing for our family and this fryer is the best! I’ve had a fryer before and cleanup is always a hassle, add to it that I use peanut oil so the oil gets expensive and nasty quick. With this fryer, I am able to reuse the oil as it filters imperfections perfectly. I tend to empty my oil after each use, or if I think I will use it the next day, I may keep it in over night, but no more than 2 days. The filtering wont work if the oil is hot, so you have to wait maybe 3 hours before the oil will drop into the reservoir. I have had this for 2 months and the pictures shown are based off usage every 2-3 days for the last 2 months. Cleaning after each use is my recommendation. I used a regular fryer before and cleanup was always a pain, this fryer is by far the best purchase for my kitchen!
