If rice is a staple in you diet then you likely have a rice cooker. I have had several and used them extensively for many years. But as a single person I found I either ate more rice than needed (as a fairly strict carb counter) or tossed out a lot of uneaten rice. Being part of the “clean plate club” generation, tossing rice was probably more of an emotional issue than a cost issue. But time to cook was also a consideration. Finally decided to try a small cooker. This one was advertised to be easy, and able to make as small a quantity as 1 cup. Out of the box it seems to have met all three claims. One of the small measures that came with unit is actually much less than one cup. Using water, it is closer to 1/3 cup. I used 1 of those small containers of uncooked rice with two containers of water. That 1:2 rice:water ratio for white rice seems to give the texture and finish I prefer. One switch, push down to start process and 12 minutes later it flipped to the hold (both lights shown in photos. The container of cooked rice was hot and nicely cooked. Most important, it was a perfect size for one meal with zero waste. Clean up was simple and quick with a damp rag. Time was great as it finished as I had the rest of my meal ready to go. Based on that one test, I am pleased.A couple notes:Seems a bit pricey as larger units can be purchased under $20. But size and quality of build seem to help push cost to less of an issue. If it holds up well, I will not gripe about selling price. The tray for steaming veggies or possibly a protein is a bit small, but again seems ok for carb and calorie conscience eating. It actually can be a help in maintaining portion size to have “right sized” products like this. The tray also seems like it might not be an ideal steamer. No holes in the bottom of the tray indicate two things. No opportunity for juices to drip into rice and add flavor is the first concern. Second is the lack of holes may make steaming less complete. Will try with some green beans tonight and update to confirm. I read one review where the owner drilled some holes in the bottom and achieved the steaming results he wanted. But for a one or two person household it seems perfect. I had not really thought about the need for a dietary “helper” but that actually seems an important part of the bargain.

Easy to use and follow. No complicated buttons. Bought it for my 7 & 9 yr old girls to make their own rice. Since they love rice! Only thing I wish it had was a handle to lift the lid up after it’s done cooking. Instead you have to open it by holding it on both sides of the lid and at the same time try not to get the steam water /condensation spilled over you or on the rice. I don’t allow my girls to open it without me. Other than that. It’s serving it’s purpose. Five star if a handle was built with lid.

I like this little rice cooker alot, very compact. Another review mentioned using different rice to water ratio, but I followed their measurements, using their cup and it turned out great/perfect each time. I read the warnings from the other reviews about steaming tray being useless due to no venting, but mines came with holes/cut outs. Ordered mines on Sept 25, 2022, so seems like they updated it but, haven’t mentioned it yet on the listing.

This is very easy to use, rice is perfectly cooked, and very easy to clean. My only complaint would be if the rice is left in cooker while in the “Keep Warm” state for more than 30 minutes, the rice on the bottom will begin to burn. This is typically not an issue as I am generally serving once ready. It says for white rice only, however, I have found that if I run two cycles on brown rice, it does cook properly.

This is a small rice cooker. It is great for just one or two servings. Cooks fast and perfectly for me. I use the ‘first knuckle’ method of measuring the right amount of water for rice and it works for this cooker. It does have a tendency to burn the rice if you leave it a bit too long though.

I must say I am impressed with this little rice cooker. It is sleek and well made. It comes with all the gadgets equivalent to larger rice cookers. It is non-stick as described. Rice will get browned if you leave it on warm for too long but that doesn’t bother me. It still cleans well. Most veteran rice cooker users will know to clean the inner lid, which the instruction manual does not say. I am posting a picture here so that if you don’t know you have to, make sure you gently remove the inner lid and rinse it well every time. If you don’t, sooner or later, dirt and mold may develop.

I am tired of using my 6 qt instant pot to make 2 cups of rice. Looked on Amazon and found a little rice cooker. Was a little hesitate but decided to buy it. Oh boy did I get lucky! It’s perfect! Actually can make up to 4 cups white or brown rice. It is just perfect!
