Although I am somewhat happy with this hot pot, I did not like the lid knob which was a very strange design and not easy to handle. Once I replaced the lid knob with a silicone one (also from Amazon), it is now easier to remove/replace the lid. I noticed that Topwit has redesigned their lid knob which looks easier to use (I must have gotten one of their earlier models). The hot pot is easy to use and heats quickly even though it only has 2 temperature settings with no auto shut-off. I use this pot mainly to make my morning steel cut oats. The power cord is way too short at 23″, very thick and unbending, therefore, the pot needs to be close to an electrical outlet when using. As another reviewer mentioned, the pot has discolored on one side of the interior and my oats always stick to the pot in this location even though I stir them constantly. When I cooked noodles, they also stuck to the bottom even when stirred frequently. The pot discolored the first time I used it in a test to simply boil water. Obviously the electric coils are only on part of the pot. The handle design is poor which makes it unsteady and difficult to hold upright. The pot seems to be heavier on one side and, because of the handle and pot design, you cannot hold it level. This makes it very difficult not to spill the contents if you have been cooking liquids in it. With a few engineering design changes, this pot would be quite nice but it currently has several issues which make it just so-so useful.

This is the 2nd one I’ve bought. The first one failed because one of the kids tried washing it in the sink. When they did, they got water in the on/off switch on the handle. Once it was plugged back in, the switch shorted and burned out. This was not a fault in the pot itself. However, when I ordered this 2nd pot, it didn’t come with a lid. Really odd, but it was packaged up nice and everything looked normal, but it simply didn’t come with a lid this time. Luckily it’s not really needed for what we use it for (cooking ramen), but would be nice to have just in case.

This little thing is so useful. Just make sure to clean it every time and wipe dry. Don’t air dry. I mainly use this at work to make noodles and boil hot water. I had 3 coworkers bought it after seeing me eating good all the time. I like how it heats up super fast. The only thing I dislike is how short the cord is. It’s about 1 foot and a quarter. It’s super short; cant reach anything. You will need an extension cord but it’s troublesome when you’re at work and extension cord is a trip hazard. That’s why I deduct 1 star.

Just right size for single serving. Water boils! We Boiled some eggs for first time use – they turned out good. My son used it to make some Buldak ramen he likes how easy it was to use. I mentioned that I was going to keep it at work to make or heat my lunch. He asked what is he’s going to use. I guess I’ll have to get him one.

Great soup cooker. Gets very hot. Stir constantly to prevent food sticking at bottom

The outer part cannot be immersed in water or else it will damage the pot
