I bought this for a couple of reasons. I work night shift and share a house with my mother so I’m always looking for things I can use to lessen the noise I make on nights when I’m awake and she’s sleeping – so I thought this would be a good way to reheat soups or make pasta that meant I could stay in my room. I also thought that if it worked well I could take it to work to make fresh pasta versus reheating pasta or something.It works…okay. I made pasta in it first and it did all right. Water heated up quickly and the pasta cooked as normal. Dumped the pasta to drain and tossed some pasta sauce in to heat it up. This is where I started to notice an issue. The pasta sauce scalded to the bottom of the cooker pretty quickly. I dumped the pasta back in, mixed it up, and it was all fine but it was more of a mess than anticipated to clean. It wasn’t HARD to clean, per se. I put some water in, let it sit for a bit, then was able to get all the scalded sauce off with minimal effort.The scalding issue is definitely a recurrent issue. I’ve made/reheated several soups in this and anything creamy based will scald very very easily, even on the “low” setting. It still heats it up nice and rather quickly, but even if you stir constantly, you’re going to end up with scalded/burnt bottom.Also I’ve noticed that it shuts itself off rather quickly and randomly. I know it has an “anti-over-heat” setting that keeps it getting too hot but the last time I used it I barely got my soup to temperature and it had shut itself off.Overall – works okay for what it is but definitely not what I was looking for.

This hot pot is amazing! I bought it to be able to cook in my dorm room. Now I can make soup and noodles easily and quickly. It works better than the hot plate I had previously because it boils water faster and doesn’t set off the fire alarm. The hot pot can bring water to a rolling boil really fast (in about only 1 minute). So making soup is super quick! The pot is about the size of a small 3-cup rice cooker. It’s big enough to make soup for about 3 people. (I wish there was a smaller size available for 1 person)The only issue is that the inner pot isn’t removable , so when you wash it, you have to be careful not to get water inside to avoid damaging the electronics.

Living alone it’s hard for me to cook for just me sometimes. This is great for making pasta and works so much faster than putting a pan on the range and waiting for the water to boil!! Great investment for me!!

I love it. Reordered. Really nifty but,I dislike that it is hard to clean without it causing a shortage. A sealant is needed, to protect the wiring from water. This little pot can cook a lot and get messy.

Quick boiling, easy to clean, but there are stain after use. it went away after few times of used.Overall very happy with the product. All my coworkers want to get one.
