My husband and I love to eat Thai food. That said, it has been a challenge to find something that gets hot enough and maintains the high heat required of preparing fried rice, noodles, etc… Our problem was that most pans warped, or our outside griddle could only be used during warmer months. This wok seems to be a game changer. We haven’t had it long but it heated quickly, put a beautiful char on the rice while keeping it sizzling and hopping around the bowl. The cleanup was easy and nothing stuck at all. I can see I will be using it a few times a week. The size allows for tossing veggies without any flying over the edge. So far we are very pleased and hope to use this for many years. One thing I would point out to anyone purchasing is to read the manual. The temps are very different from most electric fry pans. This is a wok and temps run higher as necessary. Also I noticed the instructions said to always start in the off position to allow unit to work properly. Overall I am happy to give it five stars and look forward to a happy winter with Asian meals!

UPDATE: I only used this 4 times, & it quit while making tempura for my family last week. I purchased it January 14, 2020, washed it by hand, & stored it in it’s original packaging. I am truly disappointed! I was prompted to review this item earlier, but could only comment on the quality & packaging since I had not cooked with it yet. I purchased this because I wanted an electric wok which would reach a high enough temperature to fry tempura. I also felt it would be more stable than my wok on the stove once it was filled with hot oil. This product fit the bill. While it is not ‘technically’ a true wok due to it’s flat bottom, it serves my needs. It worked beautifully; heated the oil very quickly, and held the desired temperature throughout the cooking process. I will use this product for a number of recipes. It also works well for basic stir fry. However, if you’re looking for a true wok this would not work for a recipe which would require you to cook one item at a time, and push it up the side to begin cooking another. The flat bottom simply doesn’t allow enough slope to do so.

I love making Chinese for dinner, especially shrimp! This is a great little item to haveβ¦ I can whip up a shrimp with either rice or Angel spaghetti to die for. All my other pans are just to small to keep all the ingredients inβ¦. I love lots of veggies and shrimp when I make this meal. Give me stirred veggies and shrimp and day!!!! Yum. Cleans easy but donβt submerge this panβ¦. Pour hot water in with some detergent, do a few swishes and itβs clean. The outside just needs a quick wipe with a clean dish cloth and youβre done!

After wasting all that money I should have bought this wok. It is amazing and doesnβt have that annoying turn off the heat like Ovente does. Itβs the best purchase ever

It’s very different from the wok I had so it’s taking some practice. As far as I can tell it’s working well, although I do wish it cooled down quicker when you turn the temp down

You almost have to cook on warm. Gets too hot even on low low temperature
